When I started out my business name was Maine Made Crafts. I was both a crafter and a promoter of craft shows. When I decided I couldn't do both I kept the business name but when I tried to buy the domain it had already been taken by a webmaster that wanted to make a page for me and sell me my name. As you can imagine I wasn't too happy about paying $700.00 so I changed the name for the web to Maine Made Craft Shows. I also use New England Craft Fairs for a new website I have developed.

To answer some of your questions about domain names.... yes, it is important to buy a domain. If the spelling can be different I would buy the different spellings. If the spelling has an s buy a name with & without it. You are lucky the first domain I bought was for $95.00 (which I thought was cheap at the time) now you can buy them for under $10.00.
